The "Himalaya Special Edition" honours one of the most significant expeditions of its time: the successful first ascent of the Dhaulagiri in 1960 – accompanied by extremely robust Certina watches. The special model features an engraving of the mountain panorama with the inscription "Dhaulagiri, 8167 m, 1960", which can be admired through the transparent case back.
Powermatic 80 Movement
Power reserve is the time a fully wound mechanical watch runs until it stops – usually between 38 and 42 hours. The Powermatic 80 calibre makes a power reserve of up to 80 hours possible! So you can leave this watch for up to three days before having to set it anew – if you can do without it for that long...
The extremely thin dial of this watch is lightly domed. In this way it takes up the classic lines of historic models from the 1960s and gives the modern timepieces an elegant retro touch.
DS-1 Powermatic 80 Himalaya Special Edition: The peak of reliability
This special version of the DS-1 recalls the first Certina with the DS Concept, which in 1960 accompanied an international expedition on the first successful ascent of the Dhaulagiri. Numerous details pay homage to its famous predecessor: the classic “Double-C” logo on the crown, for example, or the transparent case back bearing the inscription “Certina 1888 & Dhaulagiri 1960”. No question about it: This watch is ready for any and all adventures.

We ship with Swiss Post. Once you receive the order confirmation, your shipment will arrive within 2-3 days. When calculating the delivery time, please also include the time needed for processing the order and for the payment to be received in case of bank transfers. Once the order has been processed, we will send you an order confirmation by email.
We send all shipments by registered post, i.e. you must confirm receipt of your order with your signature. Please check that you have provided a valid delivery address and ensure that you are there on the day when your order arrives. If you are not there to receive a shipment yourself (e.g. because it is a gift), the recipient specified on the delivery address must sign for the package.
Once your order has been shipped, the postal service will send you a shipping confirmation with a tracking code. You can use this tracking code to track your shipment.
The shipment is insured until its receipt is confirmed by a signature from you or the recipient specified in the delivery address.
CHANGING THE DELIVERY ADDRESS
If you wish to change your delivery address immediately after you have placed your order, please contact our customer service team by phone on +41 32 322 47 27 or by email at email@example.com, and we will make the requested changes for you. If you have received an order confirmation for your order, it is already on the way to the delivery address specified by you and we can no longer redirect it.

If you do not like the ordered item, you can take advantage of the 14-day return policy. Within this period, you can return the item to the Jacques Tissot retail outlet in Bienne, Switzerland or return it free of charge by post. Please note that we cannot accept returns of customised or personalised items.
For returns by post, please follow these steps:
1. Pack the unwanted item(s) in the original packaging with appropriate padding in the Jacques Tissot shipping box.
2. Indicate that it is a return on the provided delivery note and include it in the shipping box.
3. Seal the package and send it to our Jacques Tissot Store address.
